WHAT TO EXPECT

Botox is injected with a small needle into the muscles of facial expression . There is little pain with this for most people. You will see benefits develop over the next 5-7 days and less frowning will be possible. Side effects are minimal.

There occasionally is some swelling or bruising that may last a few days after the injection. Rarely, an adjacent muscle may be weakened after the injection. Again, the results usually are dramatic but they are not permanent and they do need to be repeated anywhere from three months to one year. Often with subsequent injections the results last longer so less frequent treatments are necessary.
