6. ADD ANTIOXIDANTS SUCH AS TOPICAL GREEN TEA, SOY ISO FLAVENRIB.

Vitamin C is a necessary vitamin in the production of collagen. When collagen breaks down due to natural aging processes or sun damage one result is wrinkles. The idea was developed that if vitamin C was applied to the skin it may penetrate the skin and lead to new collagen formation thus improving the appearance of wrinkles.

However, it has never been proved that the vitamin C molecule actually makes it through the top layer of skin to the deeper layer where collagen is produced. Because if this, it is likely better to take vitamin C by mouth rather than apply topically.

The real benefit of these products however is in their antioxidant properties. When the sun strikes the skin free radicals are generated. These can damage skin cells and is one of the things that lead to photodamage such as dark spots and wrinkles. Antioxidant when applied to the skin may help reduce free radical damage to skin cells and thus prevent sun damage that leads to wrinkling.

The concentrated serums are most effective. These are usually applied in the morning but can be drying so a moisturizer should be applied with it.
